This is a short story that was longlisted for a local writing competition, then got published in an anthology. I have to rights to re-publish, so here it is!
The competition was for short fiction based on the theme of soul. So I decided not to write fiction. I wrote my exact thoughts as a 9 year old. You know what the windows to the soul are, right? They're your eyes. And not things to be looked at.
